The statue standing in the lobby of Sports Academy and Racquet Club is a beautiful work of art. A statue of a dancer is not sexual or inappropriate in any way.
The definition of art is as follows: "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. The various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance."
If one is offended by this sculpture they should not go to this facility and let others enjoy as they will.
We the undersigned call on the Logan community to allow the Sports Academy and Racquet Club to display the above described statue as they see fit.
We the undersigned call on the North Logan city officials to ignore the petition to remove the afford mentioned statue displayed at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club for the constitutional right to display art in their own business.
