Imperial Beach Little League and Imperial Beach Girls Softball. IBLL has been serving the youth of our community for over 50 years and IBGSB for over 37 years.
If the City allows an outside organization to take control of the fields in order to raise revenue, it will likely create a financial burden on both organizations, potentially causing both to dissolve.
We have built our organizations from the ground up, through our volunteers and sponsors. We have maintained the fields of the Sports Park for many years. Our proposal will allow us to continue as positive role models in our community as non-profit organizations. “It is the policy of Little League & IBGSB that no child is turned away from playing for not being able to pay.”
We the undersigned are concerned citizens who urge our city council to contract with the organizations that currently maintain and use the fields (IBLL and IBGSB) and not contract with an outside agency to simply raise revenue for the City.
