Johnnie Taylor known to most of the world as the Blues Wailer, is a very underated soul singer whose career lasted decades! From the fifties to his untimely death in 2000, he was still successful and most soft after as a performer. If his last hit Soul Heaven was revised today he would close the show.
From the legendary Stax records to Malaaco Records. He is known for hits such as It's Cheaper To Keep Her, Who's Making Love, Jody's Got Your Girl And Gone, The Platinum selling Disco Lady to Good Love, Last Two Dollars, Big Head Hundreds, & the aforementioned Soul Heaven.
Mr. Taylor has yet to received his proper due along side many of his contemporarys. It is our desire with faith that this matter is a mere over site and simply never has been addressed or brought to the attention of the deciding committee.
