Jeff Lynne is a British musician from Birmingham and is probably best known as the front man of the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

Jeff first started playing in bands back in 1963 and so it is safe to say that his contribution to music exceeds 50 years.

He is best known for his ELO days although he has had considerable success with the Travelling Wilbury's alongside Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan.

Jeff also played in the groups Idle Race and the Move with Roy Wood and Bev Bevan to name but two.

Remarkably, Jeff is little known outside the music industry for his superb record producing skills although he was voted the fourth best producer in the Washington Post. Jeff has produced for two ex Beatles in George Harrison and Paul Macartney and other well known artists such as Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Bryan Adams and Take That.

Jeff's music as given us so much enjoyment over the years and personally speaking, immense "Hope and Comfort" ! during some troubled times.

Please find time to share and support this petition to request a knighthood for Jeff Lyne. This is long overdue and no more than Jeff deserves for his outstanding and immense contribution to the music industry.
