James Artman Character Statement

Dear Sir or Madam:

We are writing on behalf of James Artman who has a trial date on June 17th for DUI. All parties signing served with James in Iraq in 2008-09 from the 401nd CA BN based in Phoenix.

James served his country honorably and with distinction and was exposed to deployment related stress as were so many in recent deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His character stands without question among his peers and is considered a good person to those that know him.

We would respectfully request every consideration for leniency for James based on his great contribution to our Country and for the high likelihood that PTSD related factors associated with his military service may have contributed to his recent DUI issues.
