If you watch the news or read the papers/internet, you probably already know how the current VA is run. Issac Sims was 26 years old and an amazing person, son, friend, soldier, and husband. He died at the hands of the police while suffering a PTSD attack.
He sought help from the KCMO Va hospital but was turned away numerous times for months up to 2 days before he was killed. THIS is NOT how our heros who protect us and our families and our American values.
The President, congress, etc receive annual salaries long after they retire yet our heros who risk their lives receive nothing! No war vet should ever go without a home, healthcare, food, job, clothes or anything. This will give them any help when they need it and for free.
We pay for war, we can pay for them to heal from that war too.
We (Americans) need this, this LAW, this ACTION, this RESOLVE. Isaac Sims was a brave young man that courageously took on the responsibility that a lot of us, including me, do not.
He chose to defend this Great Country. And when he returned with a real wound from WAR (PTSD is as real as any other physical wound) he was continuously turned away, continuously pushed aside and therefore continuously ignored and forgotten about.
Unfortunately there are thousands, if not tens of thousands, of other Americans suffering the same fate he did. They are not Americans like me, they are not Americans like you, no these Americans are SOLDIERS. That word means something; it means they are more than just the average American.
A SOLDIER, every SOLDIER, is an American HERO and an American PATRIOT. We need and we should protect them as they protect America.
