Ismail Kasirye should be granted asylum now

Upon the removal of Ismail kasirye to Uganda he was detained and tortured because of his sexuality,He was harassed and beaten by the authority who knew about his sexuality. Homosexuality is illegal in Uganda with a death penality waiting to be past on. He came back to the UK with wounds and scars to seek protection as a gay and to live and study free from the persecution and torture he faced in his own country.

In 2011 Ismail he applied for asylum. However, His asylum was again refused. He went to court with his partner and the judge accepted that he was gay but he should be removed back to a country that he freed because of the torture he went through for being gay. Having provided LGBT witnesses who knew him in Uganda and here in the UK,medical reports to prove and even the medical justice provided evidence which showed that he was really tortured and more but still the UKBA have refused to provide him with protection that he is seeking. They have kept him in detention for over 9months till now.

On 7th July 2010 the UK Supreme Court overturned the racist, homophobic policy of sending Lesbian/Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people to their deaths. However little has changed. The UKBA has devised another trick of telling LGBT asylum seekers that they are not gay, as a pretext to deport them, On his side he was found out to be gay by the judge but still they want to remove him back to death zone for LGBT. We cannot let this continue - be a part of the change by signing this petition.

Ismail is known to be gay in Uganda - He cannot be safe there after all the torture he suffered. Asylum NOW for Ismail Kasirye!
