Service charges are applicable for any ticket booking via IRCTC website or IRCTC Connect App. IRCTC is charging this amount over online booking only and why not at Window Ticket?
Don't you guys think that this is the part, which is charged as over burden in online booking for any ticket.
It is obviously much better than Window Ticket for a passenger but it is quite less expensive for IRCTC as well. Want to explain it here - IRCTC is maintaining its website, and for booking ticket it need to maintain Database and other simple software things. Wherever if you are going to book any window ticket, then IRCTC needs to manage their staff(Ticket Distributor), its system(Computer for Ticket Distributor), Long queues AND might be some railway police staff to maintain that queue as well, Ticket paper and much more.
When we are talking about DIGITAL INDIA, why are we taking extra service charges in online booking. Though it should be more promoted..
Please sign the petition to remove this from the clause of IRCTC. :)

I am here to give you the glimpse of a topic, which must be in many minds who are using online booking system of IRCTC i.e. Indian Railways. And that is about Service charges applicable for each ticket while booking online.
I request government to remove these charges for online booking.
It can save paper, time and most important our trees..
