Background (Preamble):
A Change is needed!
The introduction of Neck-ties to the upper-school(Grade 11) is deemed necessary and long over-due.For Decades thoughts have been put in place to carry out this needed change but was always aborted due to lack of persistence and other factors.We the Students and Most of the school staff believe there is no better time to introduce this change than now seeing that this great institution; home to Scholars, World class athletes and politicians like former Prime Minister P.J Patterson and Olympian Herb Mckenley just to name a few will commence its centenary celebration in the upcoming school year.
Factors:
(1)This project will somewhat help the school to gain though not much some well needed funds through the sales of these ties.
(2)Having the upper school wearing a Neck-tie will have them being easily identified anywhere on the compound which will help in some unfortunate cases which we hope not to have.
(3)Easily identified anywhere in the island!
(4)A bit of decency will be added to the boys' appearance
(5)Would be ideal to have this done in the centenary year as renovations are currently underway to improve the school this could be one too.
Just to name a few.
We urge you the leaders of our school to think thoroughly about this offer and make the right decision!
