Updates: The petition and signatures have been submitted to Majlis Perbandaran Johor Bahru Tengah (MPJBT) on 8 August 2016 and pending reply. There has been positive diversion made to reduce the risk at the said road junction in front of the HH main entrance though -- vehicles leaving from HH can no longer turn right at the junction to head towards highway, but have to turn left from HH and then U-turn at the next junction to do so.

On 18th June 2016, a motorcycle biker died after colliding with a car (coming from the highway), while trying to right turn at a road junction in front of the main entrance of Horizon Hills, 79100 Nusajaya, Johor, to enter.` This was painful. A son, a family, a friend, and/or a father has been lost. Yet such tragedy could have been prevented.
六月十八日, 一个摩托车骑士, 在Horizon Hills正门前的路口右转进入时,与一辆从高速公路驶来的汽车相撞而丧命了.令人心痛. 一个儿子, 家人, 朋友, 或父亲, 就这样离开了. 但这悲剧是可以避免的.
On 18th June 2016, a motorcycle biker died after colliding with a car (coming from the highway), while trying to right turn at a road junction in front of the main entrance of Horizon Hills, 79100 Nusajaya, Johor, to enter.` This was painful. A son, a family, a friend, and/or a father has been lost. Yet such tragedy could have been prevented.

Vehicles coming from the highway travel at a high speed, and the roads in front of HH main entrance are wide. Not only vehicles have problem right turning at the road junction in front of the entrance to enter HH (or right turning from the entrance to exit to the highway), pedestrians crossing the roads have to run sometimes to avoid being hit by vehicles! Now, imagine you are a kid or elderly! Or you have a family member who is a kid or elderly...how dangerous!
The road junction is even more dangerous during peak hours and bad weather, when the traffic is highly busy and visibility is poor.
To protect all road users and prevent further tragedy, we, the undersigned, call on the Johor Bahru Tengah Municipal Council to install a traffic light at the road junction in front of Horizon Hills main entrance, 79100 Nusajaya, Johor.
六月十八日, 一个摩托车骑士, 在Horizon Hills正门前的路口右转进入时,与一辆从高速公路驶来的汽车相撞而丧命了.令人心痛. 一个儿子, 家人, 朋友, 或父亲, 就这样离开了. 但这悲剧是可以避免的.
通过设立交通灯.
从高速公路驶来的车辆速度快, 而HH正门前面的马路宽而长. 因此, 要在正门前的路口右弯进入, 以及离开HH正门右转驶入高速公路的车辆不但面临困难, 连过马路的路人有时还得用跑的, 以避免被撞到. 试想, 如果你是小孩或老人家, 或你的家人是小孩或老人家...这有多危险!
在繁忙时间和天气恶劣时, 交通流量大且能见度低, 这个路口就更加危险了.
我们借此请愿书,恳请有关部门在Horizon Hills正门前面的路口设立交通灯, 保护所有公路使用者, 避免类似悲剧重演.
