Insite Support Letter

We, the undersigned, ask the Government of Canada to take this opportunity to demonstrate leadership in providing much needed basic health care for people struggling with addictions.

We endorse the letter dated July 9, 2008 at http://www.creativerealizations.com/socialissues/SupportLetterForInsit e.pdf, written to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper by Anne O'Neil in support of Insite, Vancouver's safe injection health facility.

We ask the Canadian Federal Government to:

(1) accept and support the recent BC Supreme Court decision supporting Insite;

(2) accept the results of the studies to date, all of which support the work Insite does; and

(3) expand the provision of safe injection sites to ensure access to basic health care by all Canadian citizens.
