The Innes Boatshed at Batemans Bay is a landmark for all people who live here or come to visit, and recently it has come to the attention of the local paper that the Department of Land and Water Conservation are trying to close the boatshed down permanently.

The boatshed was started in 1955, by a local of Batemans Bay, who had bought a hire boat operation, and also a fishing trawler.

The Boatshed is known for the River Cruises up and down the Clyde River and also the fresh fish and chips which if asked is wrapped in the traditional newspaper with salt and vinegar.

The people who have signed the following petition below believe that the Innes Boatshed should be left open.
