Recently a variety of Australian television channels have come under attack for recognising the diversity of the Australian community by including gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersexed people and characters in a variety of shows. This petition is to thank the ABC, SBS, Channel 7, Channel 9 and Channel 10 for their inclusion of such characters in their programming.
We commend the inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex members of the community in shows on Australian television. We welcome this recognition of Australa's diversity and encourage sensitivity toward the GLBTI community when considering further programming.
