Include agriculture in Singapore's school curriculum

We feel that there is a need to break the stigma of associating rice farming or agriculture with “poverty” or “backwardness”. By breaking this stigma, the world will see agriculture in a new light. We will begin to appreciate and enjoy the food that we eat. We become more conscious of the food that we eat, keeping in mind the processes that each grain of rice went through.

Furthermore, with the land constraints that Singapore faces, we do not have the luxury of space to accommodate rice paddy fields. Hence, we rarely have the opportunity to expose ourselves to agriculture. In this highly urbanised and modern city, the current generations have close to zero exposure to agriculture.

OUR MISSION

We aim to raise awareness of the importance of agriculture among Singaporeans. Our ultimate goal is to expose every Singaporean to agriculture through education and hands-on experience.
