We ask that you stop withholding important vehicle information such as safety defects from consumers and start being more transparent about a vehicle’s security problems and concerns.

In 2004, General Motors knew of a faulty ignition switch which caused 153 people or more to tragically die in 2005. They didn’t tell consumers about the safety concern, but covered it up instead. The deaths of these consumers could have been prevented with better consumer protection laws.

Car dealerships are often silenced by big brand car manufacturers from advising customers about possible safety problems and vehicle flaws and only inform customers when a recall is in effect. How many dealers are actually aware of these safety issues?

Earlier this year in Maryland, major changes were made to bill HB525. The bill now allows car dealers to tell consumers about security problems with no retribution from carmakers. A great start, but these amendments are needed by other states also.

We must demand that a similar bill gets passed in all states.

If American consumers in each state put major pressure on lawmakers, carmakers, and car dealership in each state, we can get a similar bill passed. Consumer rights must be protected!

Join us and let’s fight for better auto rights for consumers!

We believe that consumers should be provided comprehensive vehicle advice before they purchase a new auto by car dealerships.
