Every General Election promises are made to us in the form of election manifestos by all political parties vying for our "precious" votes. Then they get into power and all too often are never honoured (think back to the last time we were promised a referendum). How can we trust people who don't honour the promises that actually get them into power.
A manifesto promise should be regarded as a verbal contract with us, the electorate and as such should be legally binding.
We the undersigned call on the British Parliament to recognise that the Manifesto Promises you make to us during an election form a verbal contract and are therefore LEGALLY BINDING.
