Outline planning permission has been granted for the erection of 54 bedroom residential nursing care home, 11 single storey assisted living units, a single storey 31 bedroom dementia unit and a lodge house providing visitor flat and staff accommodation following demolition of existing hotel.
This development will be accessed by a new road to be developed from a small private lane on Jenny Brough Lane through a meadow and kopse of established trees located behind and central to numerous residential properties.

David Wilson Homes are then also planning up to 500 homes, an all weather sports pitch and a 60 bed care home on the farm land in the same location.
The residents in this area do not want to see this environment destroyed and replaced with road ways and dwellings which will heavily disrupt their lives and also reduce property prices.
We, the undersigned, call on the Head of Planning and Development Management, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, to reconsider planning permission for the above development schemes.
