Sections 1031 and 1032 of S.1867 called The National Defense Authorization Act characterizes the entire planet and deceivingly with more specification United States soil as a battleground. It is completely unconstitutional and abolishes our rights as human beings.
This law can label anyone as a terrorist and unjustifiably allow anyone participating in one hundred percent legal activity that goes against our governments perspective to be detained.
This law is simply a threat against the people. We demand this law to be nullified.
By signing this petition, even though I know that the law I am attempting to veto with this petition could give what I believe to be unjust authority to detain myself, I address the National Defense Authorization Act; an unconstitutional act and a deceiving threat to the law abiding citizens of the United States.
This law gives authority to military personnel to arrest, question and murder innocent civilians of the United States for participating in completely legal and simple everyday living activity that is in no way suspicious. Exercising other lawful activity that our constitution itself promotes such as freedom of speech can be characterized as a threat against our country.
These activities include peaceful protest, having enough food and water to live for one week, owning a gun or ammunition, physical disability, simple lawful opposition to government perspective, etc. The NDAA takes away a persons Miranda rights, Habeas Corpus and fair trial. It is one of many contradictions within the authority of our government. This country was supposedly built by justice and fairness. Every person has their rights and is supposed to be offered a fair trial. Even if a person is a terrorist they should have a trial where evidence of terrorism is presented.
The freedom that this country has advertised has not yet experienced its existence in anything more than words and free enterprise. We the people demand that sections 1031 and 1032 of the National Defense Authorization Act be changed so that they do not apply to U.S. citizens or be nullified completely. It is a threat to your own country and what I believe to be an act of terrorism. If this law is our governments way of whispering its declaration of war upon its own people, then we warn you we are more than prepared to stand up and resist and have been for many years.
We will not stop and we will do everything in our power to stop this and take back our rights as human beings and citizens of the United States. We will not surrender.
