HBO needs to renew "How to Make It in America"

As you may know, HBO is canceling three shows that aired this previous season, most notably, “How to Make It in America.” The decision was made by programming president Michael Lombardo along with HBO co-president Richard Plepler.

This move came as a shock to many considering that the only show the network decided to keep (“Enlightened”), had the smallest audience by a long shot. However, critics rated “Enlightened” highly and this simple factor seems to be it's saving grace for the network.

When was the last time you listened to a critic in terms of what to watch? They're reasoning and examination of a show or movie is out of touch with what the general public actually likes. “How to Make It in America” was one of the most raw show's on television. Because of this level of reality, many viewers connected to this show in ways unlike any other. Many of us watched “Entourage” because we wanted to be them, but everyone who watched “How to Make It in America” did so because it was how we are living now. Hustling and struggling for every piece of success!

If the show has taught me anything, it is that if you fight for what you believe in, then you can achieve success. We are asking the network of HBO to renew “How to Make It in America” for a third season. My subscription to your network is on the line. Failure to renew the show will result in the cancellation of my membership.
