McDonalds

United States of America

Over the last 50 years McDonalds serving size has gone up and the amount of consumers has increased. Today McDonalds makes over a billion dollars a day in revenue. I live in a gated community and once you leave the community there is a McDonalds to either side of my community.

These two McDonalds are only a mile away from each other. The calorie intake per meal at McDonalds for an adult is calculated to be a median of 1,680 calories. With this being said the amount of calories we intake on one meal in McDonalds is usually equal to the amount of calories we should eat in one day and some times even more.

Americans have gotten used to the life style of having their food ready in a minute and have gotten more than comfortable eating in fast foods all the time. Today over 50 million americans are obese and this is because of how many calories they eat in a day.

We, the undersigned, call on the State of Florida to enforce a law to prohibit Fast Foods in general to be less than 10 miles from one another. As well as to Limit the Calorie intake per meal by using healthier ingredients and using less oil. Meaning that foods such as fries should be made in the oven rather than being fried.
