Some laws for animal abusers are too soft. Most animal neglect/abuse are only $500 fines or 6 months, but for a dog, that abuse can be a lifetime of hurt and pain.
I think animal abusers should be punished the same way a child abuser would be punished. Animals are defenseless, faithful, loyal, innocent creatures. Who says their life is less than ours? I think animal abusers should have stronger penalties and go on a list so that they are never allowed to have another animal in their possession again.
We, the undersigned, call on the Senate and House of Representatives to make the punishment against animal abusers more severe.
We are talking for the ones who can not defend themselves, who have unconditional love for their owners and rely on us to protect them.
Make it to where no convicted animal abuser can be allowed to have another animal in their possession again. Make their punishments hard enough to make them realize what they are doing to innocent animals.
