NEW ALTERNATIVES FOR THE 230 KV PROPOSED PROJECT PETITION (Prepared by Golden Valley Public Awareness Team - GVPAT)

GVPAT is preparing alternative routes to the Alternative “A” & Alternative “B” routes provided by Transcon Environmental and Unisource.

We request the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to consider the following:
1. Ability for GVPAT to provide alternative routes, other than alternatives A & B, to Transcon Environmental, Unisource, and BLM either directly and/or through public meetings.
2. Transcon Environmental, Unisource, and BLM must notify the general public about the proposed 230kV Transmission Line Project through adequate out-reach via media outlets, including, but not limited to, newspapers, radio, internet, and other media publications.
3. Hold at least one public meeting to discuss alternative transmission line routes, as prepared by GVPAT and/or other groups, organizations and individuals announced through public media outlets.
4. Hold at least one public meeting (separate from #3 above), announced through public media outlets, comments, reactions, any possible changes to plans proposed by Transcon Environmental which will lead to at least two more public meetings, announced through public media, before a decision is made by BLM concerning right of ways, and usage.
5. Add the names, addresses, and other contact information for the undersigned petitioners to mailing and notification list for any information, or scheduled meetings established by GVPAT, Transcon Environmental, Unisource, or BLM.

We are exercising our right to have our voices heard and we deserve a better alternative than the routes proposed by Transcon Environmental and Unisource.
