The soldier who safeguards his country, and by augmentation, our popular government, by putting his life in danger, must have a right to vote.
However almost 14 lac Armed Forces staff, 9 lac Paramilitary work force and countless families being rejected from the most critical democratic process – a privilege that every one of them appreciates under the Constitution.
As the world's most powerful and biggest government, we should not bear this circumstance for a day more.
Finally, this is one of the most straightforward issues to settle by just putting procedure in place and looking for help of the Armed Forces base which will guarantee a methodical and convenient voting by dominant part, if not all, of its faculty during the 2014 general elections.
The Election Commission must find a way to guarantee that military work force is given their right for vote casting. Sign this petition.
