Give accessibility to the Physically Disabled People of Pakistan

Your Excellency,

Congratulation on your reinstate as our gallant Chief Justice who has restore the confidence of the general public of Pakistan in the judiciary system.
As a Disabilities Rights Activist, I forward you this Humble Appeal against the discrimination the Disabled Community face in our daily life due to accessibility barrier all over Pakistan. May it be Government buildings, Public Places, Shopping Malls, Restaurants, or Business Houses.

It is with a powerful sense of sadness and frustration that I send you this Humble Appeal. I have dedicated 15 years of my life as a Disabilities Rights Activist, but have not been able to create AWARENESS among the business community and government agency for bringing about an accessibility friendly environments, positive mind-set, and a sphere of mutual understanding between the general public and the disabled.

As a man of my word, I have promised my disabled community that I would take formal action for this Cause.

Sir, barrier to accessibility is a Social/Legal Discrimination of the Physically Disabled People.

As most of the outlets have a flight of steep high stairs for accessibility and almost all the physically disabled people couldn’t reach these outlets in a wheel chair, walker, or crutches, this is a Social/Legal Discrimination of the Physically Disabled People.

Right now, individuals in wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches are restricted to a few outlets which are accessible. If there were universal standards for things such as at least one ground level entrance, a usable bathroom for the physically disabled, trained assistances to help them enter the outlet, and wider doorways, people with wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches will no longer be shut out as potential customers.
I humbly appeal to you to please take my humble appeal as a Petition and issue an order to all the Government buildings, Public Places, Shopping Malls, Restaurants, or Business Houses to construct an accessibility and a Disabled friendly bathroom in their concern premises for barrier free accessibility for the Disabled Community.

Sir, with your position and post you could generate a lot of support for the unjust action against you, but we being disabled are even deprived of our basic human rights.

Now is the time to prove your patronize that you do not raise your voice on the injustice bestowed upon you but will rise to any appeal of injustice of any Pakistani.

Hope you will take this appeal to your highest priority and let the Disabled Community be proud of the judiciary system.
