The signs posted in this exhibit are offensive to actual genocide survivors. This exhibit is a way for this group to dehumanize a part of freedom they have no business to discuss. Even worse they are doing so by posting grotesque pictures along side silly facts to try and scare students when it comes to having an abortion.
This project is disgusting and most certainly cannot be avoided since they are plopped right in between the library and OU Center with R-rated images as large as the sky.
We call on Oakland University to remove this "Genocide Awareness" group immediately as it not only disgusts most students, but also shapes the opinion for a University in a topic that most people have zero business talking about. The project is biased and wrong.
The project is not fair to students and makes the University look bad as a whole. We move that Oakland University not allow this group or any like it back on campus ever again. Groups like this have one goal; to dehumanize anything they deem wrong.
We all have different experiences and views to shape them and it's our job as a University to respect that.
