I am looking to get rid of plastic bag use at my local Sunflower Market in Boulder, Colorado. I feel that I shouldn't have government involved in a local issue such as this and I am starting a movement to get the use of plastic bags stopped.
Whole Foods has stopped, by choice, using plastic bags and I feel that any company has the right and duty to stop being part of the problem and be part of the solution.
I think the company needs to take the step to become what the community wants and can really respect.
We, the undersigned, would like to see the local Sunflower Market stop the use of plastic bags. Plastic bags pollute the environment and everyday, this store goes thru hundreds of bags, most of which will just be thrown away.
Not only could the company become a company that the community can be proud of but it has a chance to save money and the environment.
They do already give bag credits for bringing in bags, but I feel they need to take it a step farther and stop supplying the plastic.
