One day Tarek Najjar at the tender age of 19 decided to impress a girl by joyriding with a car that he test drove from a dealership. This "joy ride" ended up costing him more than he bargained for and consequently was charged with 'Hijacking' a car and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
What are the facts of the case? Let's start with what we know. According to the court records, we know there were no drugs involved, there were no weapons involved, and there were NO casualties (such as death of any human being). His original sentence was for 2 years and 9 months for this bogus "crime". He already served his time but yet is still in jail and has been for the past 12 years thus serving an additional 9 years. What for?
His mother reports cases of broken ribs and physical abuse on the part of the guards in jail. Not only has this kid's civil rights been violated but human rights as well. Several appeals have been made but fell on deaf ears.
WE WANT JUSTICE FOR TAREK NAJJAR YESTERDAY AND THAT IS STILL NOT FAST ENOUGH!
