Free Bahrain

Bahrain has historically oppressive socio-political systems, enforced by one after the other nomadic rulers. Faith divides between the ruling families and the indigenous population has generated many vain public agitations and demonstrations.

Despondency and hopelessness has now become the psyche of the vast majority of Bahrain nationals. However, premeditated Human Rights violations have been duly investigated and officially documented:-

For example; at its 34th session in 2005, the ‘UN Committee against Torture’ noted, “serious violations of Human Rights in Bahrain and failure on part of the rulers to investigate the pattern of impunity for torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatments committed by Security officials or to prosecute the perpetrators”.

Published in February 2010, the Human Rights Watch (HRW) reports “Serious and systematic torture and other ill-treatments in detention in Bahrain were routine between 1975 and 1999. Serious abuse by security forces during arrests and reports of torture increased again after the end of 2007 coinciding with rising political tension and street demonstrations against discrimination against majority of Shia community. HRW found that the government officials were using a repertoire of techniques to cause pain to elicit confessions from security suspects.

These include the use of electro-shock devices, suspension in painful positions, beating the soles of the feet (falaka) and beating the head, torso and limbs. As well as the threats to kill detainees or rape them or members of their families, in violation of Bahrain’s obligations as a state party to the United Nations Conventions against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatments or Punishment (Convention against Torture) and other International Treaties…..”

These dynamics of rule in Bahrain shows absolute disregard to Human Rights. The tyrannical style of governance has become standard that has in all imaginable ways caused irrevocable damages to many generation and all without any hope of normality.

World Media’s blackout on violations in Bahrain has prompted the ruling family to implicate their Saudi cousins in the on-going sectarian killings and torture spree. Since 14 March 2011, these unauthorised Wahhabi Armed Forces are ruthlessly engaged in all conceivable Crimes against Humanity and have so far killed nearly fifty peaceful protestors, many of them aimed and shot in the heads, injured thousands and arbitrarily arrested many thousands.
