Investigate EEDC work on Faulty Transformer

On the 18th day of August 2014, we the residents of Commissioners quarters ifite Awka, contributed money to EEDC Awka, ifite branch to repair our transformer which they demanded that we contribute.

The transformer is located inside a Hostel named Excellent lodge which EEDC gave only the hostel, one feeder, knowing fully well that one feeder out of the three feeders in the transformer is fully damaged and they left twenty four buildings to use the remaining one.

EEDC told we the residents to contribute upto 245,000 naira for them to work on the transformer, which we did, EEDC said that the money is for them to raise a new uprising cable, to enable them share the light equally, so that they can move some people to that feeder where the excellent lodge is and leave the remaining buildings in the new feeder, we gave EEDC the complete money and they did not do the work, no uprising was raised and no balancing was made on the transformer.

On the 20th day of December the transformer blew again after EEDC claimed that it was repaired, balanced and uprising raised,we are filing this complain as proof that we notified the EEDC headquarters Enugu before we take this matter to court, this is not the first time that the community has raised money for them and it was not done.
