For a Secular Lebanon

أنا، مواطن(ة) لبناني(ة)،
أرفض تدخل الدين في شؤون الدولة كما أرفض تدخل الدولة في دين المواطن،
أرفض الدولة الطائفية الموزعة حصصاً وغنائم على زعماء الطوائف وأرفض تصنيف اللبنانيين على أساس انتمائهم الطائفي،
أطالب بدولة مدنيّة علمانية، وبقانون مدني للأحوال الشخصية.
أطالب الدولة بأن تعترف بحقي كمواطن وتحترم انسانيتي ومواطنيتي بغض النظر عن معتقداتي الدينية.
أطالب بدولة لا تقوم السلطة السياسية فيها على طريقة العشائرية القبلية.
أريد دولة ديمقراطية يتساوى فيها المواطنون أمام القانون، ويتمتعون سواسيّةً بحرية التعبير والرأي والمعتقد.

I, a Lebanese citizen, am against the interference of religion in the functioning of the Lebanese State just as I am against the interference of the State in the citizen's religion.

I am against the sectarian State distributed among the confession leaders just as I am against the classifying of the Lebanese according to their religious belonging.

I demand a civil secular State, with a civil code for personal matters.

I demand from the State to recognize my rights as a citizen and to respect my humanity and citizenship regardless of my religious beliefs.

I demand a State where the political power is not clannish or tribal.

I want a democratic State where citizens are equal facing the law and where they enjoy equally the freedom of speech, opinions and beliefs.
