US Code Title 18 Sec 3564 states anyone who is on Felony Probation has the right to have their file reevaluated for early termination after 1 year of the conviction as long as there are no violations.
I am being denied this right and being forced to serve 2 years even though I have satisfied all other requirements.
I need your help! I am asking for all who have the will to make it right to sign this in order to give felon probationaries at least the right to be considered for release after a year as the law states. Ca law is 2 years. US Law is 1 year and Ca does not recognize it.
I am asking you to sign my petition to get this law changed in California for the many who are doing the right thing. I was convicted because I signed a paper I wasn't supposed to sign and they thought I lied to them. I have to live with this for the rest of life. I have no civil rights. I couldn't even vote for the first black president. That hurts! It's hard enough trying to find a good paying job or even finding a job period because of background checks.
Please help us at least get the right to do the right thing and be rewarded for our efforts. "Early Termination" looks way better on a background than "Time Served." Please allow us to restore our pride, renew our happiness, revived our self esteem, reclaim our lives and redeem our souls.
