Facebook is letting hackers take people's pages and doing little, if anything to stop these hackers, much less get the Pages back to their rightful owners. Not long ago, an Albanian hacker was given credit for hacking into over 1,000 very popular Facebook pages, many of which have over 100,000 fans.
Now a hacker has taken over the Conspiracy Watch Facebook Page with over 725,000 Page Likes and over 6 million people "talking about this" (a Facebook stat), which amounts to more traffic than President Barack Obama's Facebook Page with only 1,433,191 "talking about this".
Conspiracy Watch is a Page Tom Retterbush built from scratch. A Page he built from zero Likes to nearing 1 million Likes! Are we going to let Facebook ignore those people who bring it it's traffic?
If it happened to me, it could happen to you. Please help put an end to this madness.
We demand Facebook secures our Pages. Possibly giving them a recovery feature like Personal Profiles have. Perhaps giving Pages a separate password, and maybe an Owner not just Manager admin setting.
We also demand Facebook gives back the hacked Pages to their rightful owners.
