1. An impartial enquiry into the incident to look into the above, with action against errant police officers as an effective signal and deterrent.
2. The 100 helpline be made digital so that no calls are ignored and increased night patrol, with an emphasis on lady police, especially in the suburbs.
3. Section 354 which is a non-bailable offence in Andhra Pradesh and Orissa, be made so cognisable in Maharashtra too. In Madhya Pradesh, section 354A of the IPC has been introduced, in which those found guilty can be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
