Petition to enforce the speed limit on Weston Road
Weston Road has become a speedway, even with a speed limit of 35 mph, beginning at Broad Street and heading north, which sets a precedent for speeding through the entire Town of Weston. We would like to find a remedy to this situation. Here are three ways we may fix the problem:
1. Have the Weston Police Department actively enforce the 35 mph speed limit.
2. Petition the State of Connecticut to eliminate the two lanes uphill between Broad Street and Norfield Road and install bike lanes in place of the second car lane.
3. Install a temporary weekend stop sign at Briar Oak Road and Weston Road to slow traffic.
