We the undersigned residents of the County of Los Angeles wish to request a no overnight parking zone on Huntington Drive in the El Sereno between Lowell Ave and Westmont Drive.
This area needs to be protected from vehicles the block crime in and around the El Sereno Community Garden. This would also prevent traffic safety issues with the parents of Tiny Tot dropping off the children with no where to park.
No visibility for the public and police when trucks/buses are parked in this area. This leads to crime. The El Sereno Community Garden has be robbed on more than one occasion. Neighbors reporting youths jumping the fence at night.
Tagging of the garden property. Cutting the fence to get into the garden at night.
No parking for gardeners and visitors to come to the garden due to these trucks parked for extensive periods of time. No parking for parents of the childcare center when dropping off or picking up their children.
The curb side tree branches are being destroyed by these vehicles when trying to park. Truckers are leaving their trash behind and defecating in the area. The trucks idle for extensive periods of time sending out toxic fumes effecting the trees the crops and and most importantly the children in the childcare.
