I have decided to start a petition to change a rule in the Alief ISD School District. It is not fair for the school to make you change your appearence just because they don't like it or find it appropriate for school. For example: If you have red highlights or a mowhawk, they will make you dye your hair to a normal colour or comb your hair normally. If you have a lip ring, they will make you take it out. That is NOT fair.
They should not make you change what you look like. What if someone has a weird nose? Are they going to make you have plastic surgery to make it normal? NO. I want a change for this school district. We deserve to be who we want to be.
If you agree with me and you think that the students should be able to express who they are by the way they look without being criticized, sign this petition. But note; This petition is only for the Alief ISD School District. Please sign. We deserve to be who we want to. Don't let your teachers change the real YOU!
