Do not let pedestrians abuse the system by suddenly jumping in front of cars to fake accident

I refer to the recent video posted on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BehChiaLor/videos/1713086342280786/ which shows an elderly man going into the path of a law abiding oncoming path.
Although it cannot be proven without further investigation, a commonly use tactic by such pedestrians is to falsely accuse the driver of negligence and thus hitting him.
Please ensure that there are laws to protect the drivers as well as punishing scheming pedestrians in order to maintain justice in Singapore.
I would like to invite people sign this petition so that the Government can actually take this into their legislature.
We, the undersigned, call on the government to prevent, apprehend and punish pedestrians who falsely accuse drivers of not following road laws and thus causing unnecessary damages and slander.
