Our MP is a multi-millionaire. It is estimated that his father has a private fortune of around £300 million. Mr Djanogly has his own law firm and also runs a business with his wife. He also has other incomes, for example, from investments. In spite of all this wealth he claimed £12,951 for gardening and £13,962 for cleaning from the Fees Office
Mr Djanogly MP claims that his house in Alconbury is his family home yet he claimed for cleaning and gardening expenses in relation to this property. Recent revelations have also shown that he claimed £5,000 of taxpayers' money for electric gates in his enormous house in our constituency.
In view of his vast wealth and the pettiness of the claims we no longer feel he is the right man to represent us. We are therefore calling on him to stand down as a candidate at the next general election.
In the light of his recent excessive claims for Parliamentary expenses, we, the undersigned call on Mr Jonathan Djanogly to stand down as a parliamentary candidate for the Huntingdon Constituency at the next general election.
