DISCO's in Nigeria continue to cheat Nigerians with estimated and bulk billing irrespective of whether one used electricity or not.
Electricity, at least within the bedc mandate area is still less than 3hours/day, less than 50 hours/month in most places and non existent in some areas and the estimated charges takes no account of this.
DISCO's in Nigeria continue to cheat Nigerians with the outrageous fixed charge of N750/ month irrespective of whether one has electricity or not.
DISCO's continue to receive money(N45,000:00 in the case of bedc) from consumers in respect of sales of prepaid meters that consumers don't get after several months.
DISCO's continue to receive money vide the estimated bills several months after a consumer has managed to pay the outlandish N45,000:00 fee that is said to be the cost of the meter and that continues to go up.
Consumers continue to install infrastructure like transformers, poles(wooden and concrete) and cables (for the discos that are private businesses with no respite in respect of such financial outlays).
DISCO's have informed consumers of a proposed 45% increase in tarrif without the approval of the National assembly.
We, call on the NATIONAL ASSEMBLY to call the DISCO's to order by taking decisive action against them.
