On October 10, 1972 Benny Kemper murdered four members of the Merrigan family; Marion, age 45, Kathleen age 41, Helen Ann age 16 and Bill 15, brutally shooting them to death.
He was convicted of four counts of Second Degree Murder and sentenced to 45 years for each member (180 years). After serving 44 years, he is scheduled for a parole hearing in September 2016.
We, the undersigned strongly object to any early release or parole for prisoner Benny Kemper. Justice demands that he serve the sentence given to him at the time of his trial. The remaining family has suffered enough.
