#Children's Rights
Target:
President Barack Obama
Region:
United States of America

We the undersigned, call upon our President Barack Obama to declare August 29th Children's Day. We request a day to celebrate and honor the children of the world. We ask for a day where parents can spend time with their children by talking and playing with them. For those who are not parents, they can celebrate by spending time with children who are without a family.

It is time for the world to come together to make a difference in the lives of our children. Together we can mark the importance of their lives by making it an official holiday. As a parent, I know this is something that we should be doing on a regular basis but due to life's stresses, it can derail us from accomplishing it everyday.

By setting one day aside, we can express our love and gratitude for the greatest gift of all which resides in the smiles and laughter of our beloved children. With deepest love and admiration we plead to our President, leader of the free world, to give our children a day to call their own.

"From this day forward, may a new song be heard. Let that new song be the sound of children laughing. Let the new song be the sound of children playing. Let the new song be the sound of children singing and let that new song be the sound of parents listening. "

"Together, let us create a symphony of hearts, marveling at the miracles of our children and basking in the beauty of love. Let us heal the world and blight its pain. And may we all make beautiful music together."
