Why does the state government refuse to acknowledge the fact that we deserve to have our say and vote on the issue. The last vote was held in Feb 1992 and the concept was narrowly defeated 54.5% to 45.5%. This means that anybody that was born after 1974 has not the opportunity to vote on daylight saving.
It is agreed that regional daylight saving is necessary in QLD and that daylight saving would not necessarily work for people in the Northern parts of the state……. However, to suggest that having 2 time zones would also not work is just madness....when 15 mins down the road we are experiencing just that at Tweed and Coolangatta.
The point is WE want the choice.“THE PEOPLE” have a right to vote on DLS in SEQ. We want a referendum. To see full video on this issue go to bloodynora.com.au
