As petrol prices are set to stay at over £1.20 per litre in England, we are requesting you, as a member of the public, assist with our initiative by signing this Petition for a reduction in the petrol price.
Once the sufficient number of signatures are obtained, the Petition will be handed over to the Prime Minister and Government. The Petition outlines our demands that they, as Government, take strong action. The intention of this Petition is the removal of VAT from the current petrol price, in doing so the price of petrol can be kept under 90p per litre.
If possible, please, contribute £1 or more so we can fund and advertising a campaign on TV and radio, as well as billboard advertising all around London. The money is optional, but we need your signature to help us reduce the price of petrol and the cost of living.
We, the undersigned people of England are demanding that you reduce the taxes placed on petrol and diesel. Not only are the soaring prices taking their toll on the English motorist, but its effects are being felt at every level of society, with increasing travel costs and food prices.
The high petrol price is affecting us all. The already high cost of living is affecting the everyday lives of those on low incomes such as, pensioners, rural communities, farmers, small business owners and our tourism industry which affects thousands of people reliant on it as their primary source of income. WE the people of England DEMAND that the tax on petrol be dropped below 90p a litre and will continue to campaign against the government until our demands are met.
