GOAL: This petition is to support adding the proposed Culpeper Heritage Horse Trail to the Comprehensive Plan for Culpeper County.
WHO: Culpeper Horse Owner's Association (CHOA) is sponsoring this petition.
CHALLENGE: On 3/12/08 the Culpeper County Planning Commission voted 5 to 2 place the proposed Culpeper Heritage Horse Trail "on hold" until public support for this project can be quantified or proven.
PURPOSE:
1. This petition will raise public awareness of the proposed 20-mile horse trail along historic landmarks.
2. This petition will quantify the number of people who support Culpeper County having a public horse trail.
WHERE: The proposed public horse & multi-use trail l is located in Southeast Culpeper County. The 20-mile, circular horse trail includes historic landmarks, Civil War battle grounds such as Kelly's Ford & several historic homes. It will have parking lot to accommodate horse trailers.
When: We are trying to get as many signatures as possible on or before the Culpeper Planning Commission Meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
How: We need your signature supporting the proposed Culpeper Heritage Horse Trail be added to the Comprehensive Plan for Culpeper County.
