Coventry City Council has a duty to make the CCFC takeover happen

The ongoing negotiations surrounding the proposed takeover of Coventry City Football Club by the Manhattan Sports Capital Partners consortium are complex and difficult.

But within these talks one thing is very clear - Coventry City Council must do all it can to ensure this deal happens. Not to do so will result in the collapse of the club and the beginning of a dark chapter in the city's history.

Coventry deserves and needs a successful football club.

The very future of that club depends largely on the decisions the incumbent council take in the coming weeks.

We call on the council, our council, to ensure they secure CCFC's future and via this takeover give it the impetus and foundation it needs to return to the Premiership.
