While schools in other states observe Veterans Day by closing, The Commonwealth of Kentucky does not.
Kentucky currently closes for Martin Luther King, so in support and honor of our military veterans Active, Non-Active, and deceased we are petitioning that all schools public and private in the Commonwealth of Kentucky be closed on Veterans Day.
We the undersigned are concerned citizens who urge the leaders to act now to close schools in the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Veterans Day.
