The following petitioners request that the City of Williamsport Zoning officials deny the Variance for the property located at 1101 Meade Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 due to the fact that the Variance request does not meet the five essential criteria to allow the construction of a Two-Family Dwelling.

The required square footage for a Two Family Dwelling as stated in the City of Williamsport is 8,500 square footage. The first requirement is that there are unique physical circumstances or conditions. The lot prior to the requested subdivision is 10,000 square foot which has enough footage to build one Two Family dwelling so therefore there is not any unique physical circumstances or conditions.

The authorization is not necessary if the lot would remain the original square footage. In this case the appellant it requesting a Variance for a subdivision creating two 5,000 square foot lots so that he may build two, Two Family dwellings which does create an unnecessary hardship so therefore the third requirement is not met.

If this variance is authorized it will alter the essential character of the neighborhood because the majority of the neighborhood are single family homes.

We, the undersigned, call on the City of Williamsport Zoning Official's to deny the Variance requested for the property of 1101 Meade Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
