As the new leisure centres are opening in Walsall, Walsall leisure are changing the memberships so the more vulnerable citizens of Walsall will have restricted access unless they pay £25 a month which for the more vulnerable citizens isn't affordable but with no other options they either put up with the restrictions or pay more or have to look for other facilities which could be hard for people who cannot travel far.
We, the undersigned, call on Walsall Leisure and Walsall Council to reintroduce a more varied choice of memberships to the leisure centres, so all customers can benefit from the classes, swimming, gym and other facilities without being forced to take memberships for facilities they won't use.
Let's stop restrictions being put in place for classes and gym users. Move it members have every right to access the gym and classes whenever they want to, not when Walsall Leisure want them to.
These new centres were supposed to support health and well-being of the Walsall citizens not making them exercise when Walsall leisure says they can.
