Canton Borough Council Members and Canton Borough Mayor: Commit to representing the Canton community residents or RESIGN

We, as Canton residents are demanding that you, as elected or hired officials, adhere to and enforce local, state, and federal laws, policies, procedures, and regulations concerning the ongoing abuses of power, neglect of duty, and ongoing instances of misconduct of some of those representing the Canton Borough Police department against residents of our local community.

If you can’t, or are unwilling to fulfill your responsibilities as elected officials, we further request that you consider your resignation from your current office. We feel that there has been a consistent violation of our rights as citizens by those of you who were chosen to represent us.

Many promises have been broken and complaints ignored. This has led to much dissatisfaction and unrest in many who wish to see Canton grow as a safe and productive community. The safety and protection of those in our neighborhoods has been seriously compromised by your inability or unwillingness to actively involve yourselves in issues over which you have been granted the power to control or change.
