On this 4th of July I am struck by how much change as a society has happened in my lifetime. I am moved by how the smallest difference in another human being to some can seem completely foreign to another.
Most of my younger life I found these were met with negativity and ridicule for the person who was brave enough to be themselves regardless of how others viewed them.
These are the brave souls who made the path for others to then trample down even further so others could more confidently and with assurance of those before them. Travel on.
From our founding Fathers and there are many...MLK, Gandi, Harvey Milk, Devine, and Caitlyn Jenner.
Yes social change is our path to a brighter future for everyone, not just those we seek it for. But also for our own souls!
So I declare we PETITION The Wheaties cereal company to place Caitly Jenner on their box as an act of acceptance, love and understanding for not only LGBT but all of us as a symbol of oneness and community of human beings.
We as a community of human beings ever evolving, respectfully request that General Mills through an act of Acceptance, Understanding, and Love place Caitlyn Jenner on their box of Wheaties.
